IX Mostra de Documentários sobre Direitos Humanos * Human Rights Documentaries*

O Grupo 19 da Amnistia Internacional em Portugal promove a realização da IX Mostra de Documentários sobre Direitos Humanos, que este ano realiza-se em no Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval em Sintra, entre os dias 10 e 12 de Dezembro. Recomendo esta mostra, não só pela qualidade dos documentários que irão ser exibidos, mas também por ser uma excelente forma de informação e de sensibilização para a defesa dos direitos humanos em diferentes regiões e comunidades do mundo. Além da exibição dos documentários, serão realizados debates/conversas, assinalando desta forma o dia internacional dos direitos humanos que se celebra a 10 de Dezembro.

Between December 10th and 12th, Amnisty International Portugal organizes a documentary festival about Human Rights in Sintra. Presenting 6 documentaries about different countries and realities. A great way to celebrate Human Rights day.

Child Soldier: Fighting for my life

I had the pleasure to meet China Keitetsi in Lisbon and she is truely an inspiration. Can't wait to read her book! I was really impressed with her prespective on life, she talks about being born again, not hating her abusers and putting her energy in saving children. Her past was stolen (she lost all her family in Ruanda and Uganda) but she is building a great future for her new family and for boys and girls in Africa. She encourages us to be part of the change, because it's already happening, Africa is being rebuilt! Good good news, the world needs more people like China!
